For awhile now I have been making choices that are better for myself, my family and the environment when making purchases. Now my choices have evolved into eco-friendly, healthy bathroom switches. This post is sponsored, but I am sharing products I personally have sought out myself and have fallen in love with. And of course this is all my own opinions.
I find making eco-friendly choices isn’t as hard as I originally thought it would be and it isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be either. Typically, the initial investment is slightly higher, but most often the items can be reused and in return making the long term expenses less. These kinds of switches can also improve your health and reduce waste, but you can also save money by living sustainable. It’s a win win!

Eco-Friendly, Healthy Bathroom Product Switches
Dr. Bronner’s Toothpaste– This low foaming toothpaste has no synthetic detergents, artificial colors or flavors. It is made in a box AND tube that is 100% recyclable. I prefer the peppermint flavor. Although it took a bit to get use to the low foaming I do love it!

Bamboo Toothbrush– Replacing plastic with bamboo is often a great option since it’s 100% biodegradable. Not only does Brush4Brush remove the plastic from the toothbrush itself, but also from the packaging. This company has two cool things about them. One: they are a subscription based company. So you never have to worry about forgetting to change out your toothbrushes! Two: For every toothbrush they sale they give one to a local child!

Silk Floss with Stainless Steel Container– Floss typically contains nylon and plastic that gets put in landfills. This floss from Wowe Lifestyle is 100% biodegradable being made from natural silk, natural candelilla and natural mint. The steel container reduces plastic consumption and can be reused. Healthy for you and healthy for the environment.

Charcoal Bar Soap– I love that Beautycounter has recycling instructions on this box and does not use any kind of shirk wrap. They go way beyond that though. One thing that I really admire about the company is that they contribute to make sure trees are planted to replace what they used along with other resources as well. The charcoal bar is great for face washing and body washing. Especially if you are breakout prone.

Bamboo Face Cloth– Bamboo not only is biodegradable but requires less energy, water and space to grow than cotton. This face cloth is super soft, contains no dies for coloring and is naturally antimicrobial. I love that it has a loop to hang up. One thing that is a must for me is to have my own face cloth, because I just can’t use the same towel my kids use!

Bamboo Wash Cloths– The wash cloths have the same benefits listed above as the face cloth. These washcloths are made of a super soft, absorbent bamboo heavy fleece and are approximately 9″x8″.

Safety Razor– Think about all the plastic razors and cartridges that get tossed. It is said that it is over 2 billion of them each year. This razor from Wowe Lifestyle is made from bamboo and metal. The bamboo is biodegradable and the metal can be recycled. But seeing how the blades are super cheap and give a close shave you likely won’t be getting rid of it. It’s a $20 ish dollar investment in the beginning, but will save you a ton of money in the long run!

All Purpose Towels– How cute are these!? I just had to add these to the list to share. I find myself more and more enjoying supporting small businesses and women owned businesses. When needing some additional hand towels I decided to go with these rather than grabbing some at a big box store. I like the fact that I can use them in the bathroom or kitchen. It makes doing laundry easier as well! I stack them all up as I fold, split the pile in two and put one stack in each place.

I am realizing more and more the benefits of making eco-friendly, healthy bathroom switches. It typically is safer for me, saves me money, supports small business, I get unique products AND it’s good for the environment. Above are the switches I have made so far in my bathroom to be more eco-friendly. Now I want to know from you…
What eco-friendly bathroom switch have you already made or want to make?
Until Next Time- Truly Love,
Cassie
