This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.
This time of the year is super busy and always has me looking for an easy and useful teacher gift idea. As a former teacher I want to make sure it is going to be something useful for them, but also easy for me to pull together. I started thinking back to things that I enjoyed getting and what I used the most.
The one gift that I received that I still use today is a really sturdy over the shoulder bag. Once I got this gift I started toting it between home and school with all my things in it. Now I still have it as a quick bag to throw my computer and work stuff in for meetings or work sessions outside of the house.
Easy & Useful Teacher Gift Idea
Sturdy Personalized Bag- That is where I wanted to start with gifts for Miss M’s two teachers too. Nice, sturdy over the shoulders bags. There are many online vendors who have totes to choose from that you can personalize. I thought that was a nice touch to add. That way when they are in those after school meetings no one questions whose bag it is. I chose some heavy canvas bags to put their last names on. Once I decided on the bag, I felt like I needed to put something in the bag!
Personalized Travel Mug- Although I have heard and seen teachers say they really prefer not to get mugs (because they get so many and may not use them) I have noticed Miss M’s teachers always have a travel mug. We start school at 7:30am so they are still drinking their coffee! Again I thought a personalized travel mug would be good in this case because I know they use them and it makes it just a little harder to lose when it has your name on it.
Local Coffee- Finding something local to share with the teachers is always fun. Sometimes they (and others in general) just don’t know about local gems. I ran across Patriot Coffee on Instagram when I realize it was a local woman owned company. After I learned more about Shelby’s love for the United States and for coffee I knew this was the coffee I wanted to share with our teachers. Patriot Coffee has several different options as far as getting your coffee in beans or ground along with roasted light, medium or dark. Go check out all their coffees now.
Favorite Tea- Personally, I am not a huge coffee drinker. I do love me some warm tea though! Lately, I have been all about Bigelow green tea. So naturally, I wanted to add some of that in the bag as well. When picking up some more green tea I noticed they have a line called Benefits which is tea made to support specific things. Things like “good mood” or “balance”. Figured the teachers could use some of that! And honestly I can too! I picked up a few boxes for myself and to share.
Biscotti- With coffee and tea you need some biscotti! A few months ago I read in one of our local magazines how there is a factory here in our town that produces crazy amounts of biscotti and ships it across the US. I was amazed! This was an example of how sometimes we just don’t know what is in our own backyard. Of course I needed to add some of those biscotti’s to the mix. Nonni’s makes biscotti along with THINaddictives which are thin cookies. Anything from triple chocolate to limone goes!
There you have it! That is an easy and useful teacher gift idea. It is something that they will use and easy for me to make happen. I’ll just put it all in the bag with tissue paper on top. Doesn’t even require wrapping! I get to support local businesses along with sharing about them with others. That is the kind of gift I like to come up with! And it’s things that they will actually use. Speaking of gifts people will actually use. Another recent blog post was about gifts that runners will actually use.
