I teamed up with some of these brands to give you this runner’s gift guide which features some of the most practical gifts for runners!
As an runner myself and my husband being a runner and triathlete often times we go to items for the sport as gift options. The first gift I ever received from my husband, Ryan, was actually Feetures socks and Chamois Butt’r. Which I will say are staples for us! But other things like watches and sunglasses have been gifts over the years too.
The concern about getting gifts for runners, or athletes in general, is sometimes they are very particular about the products they like and use for training and/or racing. So how do you know what size or style is best for them? With these gifts you don’t have to worry about that! I wanted to share a few practical gifts for runners that I have come across lately.
Runner’s Gift Guide of practical gifts for runners:
Energy Lab Apparel– Graphic tees are where it is at lately! They have them for everything. And people love them because they are comfy. Energy Lab Apparel caught my attention on Instagram from the creative designs that they use. Ryan actually showed them to me because he thought their designs were cool. So I knew they would be a hit as a gift for him! They have t-shirts, tanks and sweaters for men and women. Designs for runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes. Use the code GIFT2018 to get free shipping through the end of the year.
The Stick– Most runners know the benefit of rolling. We have different kinds of rollers around the house or that we use at the gym. I started by using a baseball and then found a piece of PVC pipe to use. Both are pretty brutal but I can take it knowing it’s going to help me recover. Ryan on the other hand has some contraption with four balls that you can roll on top of. With all of these option we put our body weight on it which means it is hard to vary the dept of the roll. Not a lot of options. The other issue is they are not portable to take to races or when we travel. That’s why every time I see The Stick at expos I am so interested in them! The Sprinter Stick is the perfect size for a bag for travel. The Sprinter Stick and the trigger wheel allow us to determine how much pressure we want to roll with.
Shoe Stix– Let’s just admit it. Sometimes our running shoes get stinky! It’s true. The worst is after a race when the race shoes get put in the car for us to go to the award ceremony. Then, when we get back to the car to head home the whole car stinks like race shoes! I saw the Shoe Stix on Shark Tank and knew we needed some. No more sprays or powders. Just put the stix in the shoes after you wear your shoes. The Stix will inhibit 99.9% of odor causing bacteria in 24 hours while also absorbing moisture and deodorizing. They last about 90 days depending on usage and moisture. You simply buy additional inserts when needed.
Bigelow Green Tea– When training for a big race we know that we get to take care of ourselves to ensure we don’t get sick. One of the things that we have started doing the last few months is drinking Bigelow green tea. There is a whole slew of health benefits for drinking green tea, but we use it as our go to if our throat feels a little funny. As soon as we feel our throat scratchy or dry we started drinking green tea. (Here’s a few tip on keeping your marriage healthy while training as well!) Honestly, I started enjoying it so I have been trying different flavors out. I’m not a pop or coffee drinker, but I am getting into this green tea!
These practical gifts for runners can be stand alone gifts, you could group some together or they all fit in a stocking! This runner’s gift guide gives you a few options for when you don’t know what to get your runner. A few things for them to enjoy like a t-shirt or some fresh tea or useful things like The Stick or Shoe Stix. Whatever the case I think they would put any of them to use!
What is a gift your runner has enjoyed?
