After hearing so many moms talk about getting their phones ruined by their kids I became paranoid. I just got a smart phone a little less than a year ago and was astounded at how much they cost, yet how many people let their kids walk around with them. Well it made perfect sense to me how screens were getting broken so easily and how they landed in toilets! Easy enough. I just wouldn’t let my toddler walk around with my phone or my iPad!

The number one reason that moms phones get broken probably isn't what you are thinking!

I did some research though and found out what causes the most damage to phones/iPads are not drops on the ground or into water, but more so scratches to the screen. Now when it comes to screen scratches I learned a lot.

  • Phones and iPads have been improved overtime and can withstand a lot.
  • Most phones and iPads have a build in screen protector that helps keep common scratches off like from keys.
  • The one thing that build in screen protectors DON’T protect scratches from is sand!

HOLD ON!!! Phones and iPads have built in protection from things like keys and nails, but not sand?! And this is where the problem comes in for us mommies that get our phones ruined most often.

  • Playing in sandboxes
  • Community play dates at parks
  • Walks in the neighborhood
  • Outings to the lake or ocean

All of those include what? SAND! No wonder this is most often how our phones get ruined!

What Do We Do About It?

We get a screen protector! Like I mentioned above I am all about making sure my investment is safe from all things, being dropped in the toilet and scratches from sand.

I got an Intelli ARMOR screen protector. They carry screen protectors for all kinds of devices. These are protective covers that are made of thin glass which uses a silicone layer to adhere to the screen. It keeps oils and unknown substances that kids can bring to the devices off the screen and makes it easy to clean. But the most important thing is it keeps it from getting scratches from sand!

It was easy to install since it included everything I needed like the screen cleaning supplies and clear instructions on instillation. I added it on my iPad in a matter of 3 minutes at the start of a nap time. And now I am at peace about being able to play in all those sandy places without concerns of destroying my iPad!

What are other ways you keep your phone and iPad in one piece as a mom?

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie
