Every summer my whole family gets together for Memorial Day weekend. I am talking everyone. Four generations: all the aunts, uncles, cousins- everyone. Some rent cabins some bring their RV’s. We have been doing it since 2000! We have a long weekend of hiking, canoeing, campfire fun. But sometimes we get rained in and are looking for things to do. Over the years we have learned a few things and have started bringing a few games or activities to do in case we get shut in.

Create a fun tick tac toe travel game with rocks and a cinch pouch in a matter of minutes!

I have had some decorative rocks in the craft closet for a while. With Memorial Day weekend on my mind and thinking of the great outdoors I thought it would be neat if I could make a game out of them. I decided to create a few simple tic tac toe travel games. That way they can go anywhere with us. On this road trip, on a plane or thrown in a backpack.

This was a simple DIY craft you can put together in a matter of minutes! Here is how:

1)Draw the tic tac toe layout on the outside of a cinch bag. I used an edge of cardboard to make the lines straight. Use a Sharpie to ensure the lines will stay.

2)Paint X’s and O’s on the decorative rocks. You will need 5 of each to ensure the game can be completed no matter who starts.

Bonus: If you are going to give these tic tac toe travel games away add a little tag that says “You Rock!”

In a matter of just a few minutes you can turn rocks into a travel game. I know these will come in handy if we get stuck inside for Memorial Day weekend, but will also be great for other summer travel adventures. Besides who doesn’t like a little game of tic tac toe?!

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie
