You might have seen last week I was hinting as some exciting things coming up with True Agape. Well today I get to share one of them with you! I have been accepted onto the Smart Money Smart Kids book launch team! Now let me explain…
If you have been around the blog much you might have seen posts like Finance Tips for Newlyweds by Dave Ramsey, 5 Amazing Dave Ramsey Quotes or Dave Ramsey’s Secrets to Building a Legacy. We are a believer in what Dave teaches and have used it ourselves to be debt free! When we went to Legacy Journey Live it was great not only to see Dave, but to hear his grown daughter Rachel speak about finances as well. It was a true testimony showing not only do your money choices make a difference in your life, but also the life of your children.
As Dave continues to teach adults how to get out of debt, Rachel has taken on the younger generations to try to prevent money issues. It is such a wonderful concept and greatly needed! Together they have written a book, Smart Money Smart Kids. It is a read for the parents. It is all about “raising money-smart kids in a debt filled world.” I have had the pleasure of pre-reading the book before the release date of April 22, 2014 and I am loving it! With our first little one on the way this is great timing to delve into this book.
Today, I wanted to give you a short introduction to Smart Money Smart Kids with a few resources to learn a bit more about it. However, between now and the release date you will see several posts giving more in depth information and quotes from the book. I am so very excited to share this great resource! my wife & I will be coordinating our first Legacy Journey class next month. We will also be driving down to Indianapolis to see Dave & Rachel in a live event. We can’t wait!
As you know, I’m also part of the launch team, & I agree with you, Smart Money Smart Kids is awesome book for parents & grandparents who have kids & grandkids of all ages!
Keith- That would be exciting to teach one of Dave’s classes! We had thought about teaching FPU at one point. Have a great time seeing them at a live event! We enjoyed it very much 🙂
My husband and I heard Rachel speak at a live event as well – quite a while ago actually. It was a powerful testimony to what Dave teaches!
