Last week I wrote about my realization that as a couple we can not experience EVERYTHING together. However, it is our job to be excited for them and know they will share all the details with us later. I also mentioned we were headed to the radio show that day TOGETHER to record (you can listen to the show here).
The experience that we got to share was pretty neat! I was excited we got to do this together. Before hand Ryan was staying pretty calm, I on the other hand was a little nervous. It felt a little like race mornings for me. Then, as the interview progressed I admired Ryan as he spoke. Ryan is a natural speaker. When a question was asked his words flowed naturally. He had great composure and everything sounded wonderful. However, I tend to say “Yeah” or “um” and typically stumble over words a few times.
The experience that we shared that day last week, not only gave us memories and an experience together that we will remember, but it also reminded me how talented my husband is. It once again aw struck me to listen to him speak. Hearing him speak made me think, “He is made to speak. He can inspire others.” Listening remind me how great of a speaker he is, but it also gave me this desire to support him even more in his dream to speak to others.
Sometimes when we have experiences together as a couple it is not purely about the experience. Sometimes it allows us to see something greater, remind us of something, we realize something about our spouse, or have a deeper understanding of our relationship. When you and your spouse have the opportunity to share experiences take it all in! You never know what will be presented to you through each experience!
What is an experience you had with your spouse that was revealing in some way? Tell us below!
