Thank you to a partnership with Nature’s Path I am able to share with you about this healthy organic granola Valentine’s treat for him! Not only is it great for him, but I am sure you will enjoy it too!
Valentine’s Day is known for candy, chocolate, wine and indulgence. But what does that mean for those of us who have guys who are making choices to eat healthy or working hard to stay on track of their New Year’s goals? Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a day that they choose to “cheat” or feel conflicted on what they should or shouldn’t enjoy. It just may take a little support from us in providing him better Valentine’s Day treats he can indulge in!
Nature’s Path provides not only healthy food options, but they provide all organic food options. I have shared before how I LOVE Nature’s Path granola and different ways to spruce up your snacks using granola. Nature’s Path makes it super easy to eat healthy with their variety of products like bars, waffles, cold & hot cereals, but what gets a little more difficult for me is what to do outside of buying organic boxed goods.
Ryan and I ate very clean vegetarian and organic diets for awhile, but got away from it little by little. However, Ryan shared he wanted to get back into that way of eating again. Which, honestly, I would like to as well. So we have been making the small changes back to cleaner eating. For us that means hardly any meat, less dairy and certified organic products.
So there I was searching Pinterest, reading a Valentine themed magazine and racking my brain on what kind of healthy Valentine treat I could make for Ryan. Something that was healthy, yet was new to us and seemed like a treat. I was coming a bit short on ideas and thought maybe food just wasn’t the best of ideas. Maybe a nonfood item would be better.
Then, a few days later I was reading Nature’s Path free ebook Your Guide To Organic Food. It explained what organic food really was, spoke about the cost of going organic and how to go organic without stress. My two favorite parts out of the 20 pages was the section on how to make your produce last longer and the recipe section!
BINGO! There it was! The kind of Valentine treat I was looking for for Ryan! An Apple Cinnamon Granola with Hazelnuts and Cranberries recipe. Ryan eats granola daily, yet he really does enjoy having variety, so why not try a new yummy granola recipe! One amazing thing about this recipe is since it is full of natural and organic things it can stay good up to a week in an airtight container or for a month in the freezer. Even though I’m sharing it with you know, Ryan still gets his healthy organic granola on Valentine’s Day!
Ways To Make It Even More Special
- Get a heart shaped bowl for him to eat it out of.
- Write a specialized note on the inside bottom of a bowl. You fill the bowl up for him. He finds the message as he finishes.
- Add a cute tag to the outside of the granola container.
- Make a handmade card to go along with it using some kind of pun.
Some Puns You Could Use
- I’m nuts about you!
- I “chews” you!
- I love you berry much!
- I find you a-peeling!
- You’re so hard core!

Hi Alex- It is a great treat for anytime really, but if you add a cute bowl, container and/or tag to go along with it it can become a cute little gift! Hope you all enjoy!
That granola on the picture looks so delicious!
Thank you, Ida! That is the Apple Cinnamon Granola with Hazelnut and Cranberries that I made from the Nature’s Path free ebook. There are several recipes that are great in there along with tips for going organic.
I love a good granola recipe!! I am definitely going to try this!
I know right, Grace! A good granola is worth a lot to us in this house! I just tried a different healthy organic version because my store was out of the Nature’s Path granola I normally get. It was a no go for this lady! I like my Nature’s Path granola. This recipe was great to switch up some flavors though!
That looks good enough for anybody to eat 🙂
For sure, Andrea! The dried fruit gives it just enough sweet flavor that I think anyone would be open to trying it out.
That sounds delicious! I love granola! And your notes are really sweet!
Thanks, Katie! I am sure you could figure out a great way to dress up a bag or bowl of granola!
Oh this is right up my alley with the pun options! I might make individual bags for him to take to work each day with a new pun every day. 🙂
That is a great idea, Melissa! And it doesn’t even have to be for Valentine’s. It would make any day special for him!
This sounds delicious, and what a true act of love, to honor his health wishes. Thanks for the recipe Cassie, and Happy Valentine’s Day!!
It is pretty good! I love that you can switch things up so easily with granola recipes just by changing the dried fruits and nuts. Thank you for stopping by! And Happy Valentine’s to you too!
