After the Wedding- What to do with your wedding invitation?

After the wedding I kept wondering what I should do with our wedding invitation. I wanted to keep some and do something neat with them rather than just keeping them put away in a box. Then, for New Year’s Eve we were over at a friends house who just got married as well. That’s when I saw it. I saw what I was going to do with our invitation. Someone had made a Christmas bulb for them using their wedding invitation. So tonight I sat down to make one for ourselves, but also for my sister-in-law who just got married  (her wedding shower is tomorrow)!

Here is what you need:

2 5/8 inch Christmas Bulbs (Look in glass section at craft stores not in Christmas area)

Invitation

Extra colored paper that goes with wedding color

Ribbon

Sticker/Charm

Scissors

Pen

Cut invitation and paper into stripes. Different lengths and widths gives it some variety.

Twist paper around pen.

Put paper into bulb.

Attach ribbon and tag/charm.

The best wedding invitation keep sake. Christmas ornaments made from invitations.

Then, this is what you have! A nice keepsake or a cute little gift!

Now you know what you can do after the wedding with your invitation!

What ideas have you seen done with wedding invitations?

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie
