My wife does a fantastic job of letting me know how much she cares for me.
Whether she expresses it verbally or nonverbally I love it either way!
This expression started early in our relationship.
We met October 30, 2010 A few short weeks later she wrote a poem expressing her interest in me.
For Christmas she painted a masterpiece for me and wrote a poem to accompany her work of art.
Then the random little notes started appearing…
I started getting so many that she started finding them all over my desk… in my car… (Yes just like the receipts)
So she came up with a solution…
She would write them in a note book.
Now all the notes are safe and sound… and we can look at them anytime we want 🙂
Yes I must admit that I married a genius!
Among many other qualities that I admire she is very creative!
A few weeks ago I walked into the apartment with a nice selection of fruit sitting on the counter (pictured above) attached was a note that read…
Just a few things I thought you should know…
You’re the apple of my eye!
You’re my main squeeze!
You’re as cute as a pumpkin!
I think we make a great “pear”!
How awesome is that!?!?!?
Oh it gets better!
Last night I got home and there was a fresh pear with a red ribbon placed upon a sheet of green construction paper.
On the green paper was a hand written note that started off with
On the first day of Christmas, your true love gave to you…
A Partridge in a Pear Tree
She mentioned that she had no desire to catch a Partridge or the desire to dig up a pear tree… Hence the fresh pear wrapped with a ribbon.
I thanked her for the gift and didn’t think much more about it…
This morning I looked in my lunch and saw a surprise…
It was some chocolate turtle candy … wrapped with a bow and note… The note read…
On the second day of Christmas your true love gave to you…
Two Turtle Doves
She mentioned that she couldn’t catch the birds but was sure that I would enjoy the chocolate over two chirping birds lol
Then it hit me… the 12 days of Christmas!?!?!?! DUH!!!! After a long laugh to myself I wondered… Will I be getting a little token every day now?!?!?!?!
Needless to say the excitement and anticipation is very high… I feel special… I feel thought of… I’m blessed to have married such a thoughtful and creative woman…
I can’t wait to see how this unfolds!
Be sure to check back in 10 days to get the final run down on how this simple gesture made such a big difference!
Whether it’s words, Time, Gifts, Service or Touch… It’s the little things that make the difference!
What does your significant other enjoy… and how do you let them know you care?

I will be interested in how she pulls off the Leaping Lords and the Dancing girls. You two have something special, Try not to take it for granted. lov ya!
You both amaze me! I am proud and honored to be part of your lives! Love you both!
