When I was searching for ways to have a date night with a baby I reached out to Crated With Love. They provided three date night boxes for us to see if it was a good option for us. It has worked great so I am sharing it with you!
When it was getting close for Little Sis to come along I started wondering how date nights would happen with a toddler and a little baby. How often would we be able to have date night and who could we find or trust to handle both the girls so we could have a date? Thoughts about how to have a date night with a baby started filling my mind. I decided that even though we may not be able to get out as often as we liked we still could have at home dates! Which started me on my search for date night subscription boxes.
A date night subscription box is my go to way to have a date night with a baby. The reason for this is because it is already all done for you delivered to your door. You don’t have to do any thinking or planning once the service is set up. Just schedule the time! And you don’t have to rely on or spend money on a sitter. But here are a few other ways to have a date night with a baby.
- Mini Date– Find a family member or friend that you would be comfortable with sitting at your house while the baby took a nap. Then, find something to do that is close by for about an hour.
- Date Hop– If you want to do something longer do a “date hop.” With Miss M our first date was a movie and dinner, but we returned home to nurse and check on the baby between the two events.
- Sleeping Date– Choose something that you could do with the baby in the car seat or a carrier. Sometimes it’s easier to find a sitter for one kid. Leave the toddler behind and bring the newest addition. Going to a bookstore on a hike, mini golfing or even a picnic date might work.
- At Home Date– As I said before my go to way to have a date with a baby is to use a date night subscription box. We love the Crated With Love box! Always fun and has unique things to do. I’ll give you a sneak peak below at the things we have done with our Crated With Love boxes. And they are only $19.99 each month, but when you use my referral link you get $5 off! Go here to get your $5 off.
February Box- Stuck On You
This box was full of fun and games! We loved the competitiveness of simple games that got us laughing.
March- My Kaizen Crush
This box was more about using our brains. Ryan and I both are analytical thinkers so this appealed to us in a different way than the first box.
April- I Love The 80’s Date
This box was totally rad! It focused on music and movies from the 80’s. Ryan loves both music and movies so he really enjoyed these activities.
All in all, we loved the Crated With Love date night boxes. Each box was vastly different. The challenges were fun, but also allowed us to recall things about our relationship and even learn more about each other.
When I looked into different date night boxes Crated With Love was on the lower end as far as price point which is another bonus. For a three month subscription it runs $49.99. When you use the referral link you get $5 off your subscription. The code will work for a single box or any subscriptions! (I am not an affiliate and am not being compensated in any way. Just wanted to help you save some money on your date night!)
Although there are multiple creative ways you can get a date night in with a baby my go to is Crated With Love date night subscription boxes delivered to my door! Get your first Crated With Love date night box now!

It’s so important to have date nights after the baby is born for the health of the marriage!

Those do look like fun! And for $15 a month – that is WAY cheaper than we usually pay just for the sitter much less going anywhere. Living far away from family means finding a good sitter that won’t feel like you’re taking advantage is hard, so these are great! I’ll have to check them out!

I am right there with you, Jennifer. The sitter situation is what got me looking into date night boxes. I can hardly handle the 2 year old and the 3 month old so who would I trust to watch them both at the same time. At home date nights after they go to bed is where it is at right now!

I love these date ideas! Crated with Love seems like an awesome idea for a subscription box!
