At home date nights are great options for the season of little kids at home or just trying to save some money. But what I don’t like about at home date nights is that it is easy to get into the habit of just watching a movie. I like mixing things up! That’s why I like the idea of date night card games. There are so many two player card games that work great for couples.

Date night card games can be a great alternative to tv watching for at home dates. For the cost of one movie ticket you can have hours of fun. Try out some of these card games the next time you have an at home date.

Whether you enjoy more traditional board games like Monopoly or your man is a lover of golf there is a card game out there for everyone! I am sure you can find something that you both will enjoy. Here are some of the fun card game for couples that I recommend.

Card Games For Couples

Most of us have a deck of cards laying around. Good news is there are many games to be played with that one deck of cards. We can have many date nights just with this one supply. Below are some card games for couples.

Nerts

Gin Rummy

Egyptian Rat Screw

Golf

Idiot

Slap Jack

Speed

Beggar My Neighbor

James Bond

Crazy Eight

You can check out descriptions and instructions for all of the card games above.

More Date Night Card Games

If you are wanting to switch some things up to play some card games that aren’t the same ol’ deck of cards you have had around the house for years. Here are a few fun card games for couples you can grab off of Amazon.

Monopoly Deal: If you like playing Monopoly, but no one else will play it with you because it takes too long this is a good alternative. The box claims it only takes 15 minutes to play. Much like the board game you collect properties.

Snappy Dressers: You can play this game up to ten different ways. There is even an option for a one player game. The gist of the game is that you quickly identify what is same about the characters on the card.

Perpetual Commotion: Both players are contributing at the same time and it can get a little crazy. Although it has won a lot of awards for a kid game, adults have just as much fun!

Play Nine: If your guy is a golf lover and you just aren’t into going out on the green with him try this game out. It is easy to play and uses math strategies to try to get your hand of cards to the lowest amount possible.

Fake News: Read a headline or a news clip then decide if it is real news or fake news. You both will be surprised to learn which is which. If you stay up to date in the news or purposefully avoid it you can enjoy this game.

Bold: Use your memory to gain points. Then choose to risk it for more or take the reward. People love this game because they get to be risky without any real risks beyond the game. Give it a try on your next date night card games.

There are so many options to choose from for date night card games! For the cost of one movie ticket you can have hours of fun together. Not to mention you can play the game multiple times or have a couples game night with friends!

What is your favorite card game for couples?

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie

I love card games so I’m happy to be introduced to so many new ones! I tend to default to old standards like Cribbage and Gin Rummy so some new games are definitely needed.

Hi Nellwyn- I have to agree. I grew up playing Rummy and Spoons. Give me a traditional deck of cards and I can come up with something to do!

My boyfriend and I actually had a Monopoly night last Friday. We rarely play board games together so it was actually a nice night. 🙂 Fake News sounds like something I would enjoy – I’d never heard of it until now. xx
