My monthly contribution is up over at New Nostalgia! Remember you can check out all my guest posts on this page as well. This monthly contribution really opened up my way of thinking when it comes to getting it all done. I just had to share with everyone! I would love to know what you thought about the topic. Here is a snippet, then click continue reading to head over to the full article!

I am a student at heart. I believe reading is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to learn. You can read about anything really and learn a new skill in a matter of days, weeks or months. So not too long ago I was reading Start: Punch Fear in the Face, Escape Average and Do Work that Matters
by Jon Acuff. The premise of the book is a lot of people at the age of 50 or 60 (or younger) ask themselves, “How did I get here?” because they never started. They didn’t particularly aim for average or ordinary but they never started doing things to make them above average or extraordinary.
When reading I got to the section titled “5 Step Secret to Getting it All Done.” I thought to myself, “Oh this is exactly what I need. Right here. It’s the missing piece!” Then, every area of my life flashed before my eyes: wife, housekeeper, blogger, events coordinator, soon to be mommy, on and on. I pictured me getting it all done in each of these areas of my life.
Until Next Time- Truly Love,
Cassie

Right there with you! Love reading and learning through books. Each book has it’s own little nugget of goodness!
We can learn a lot just by reading a few pages a day!
I love those steps.. I think that #4 is the hardest– celebrating what I did accomplish and accepting that I am not always able to get to everything.
Becky- I agree. Sometimes we focus on those that we did not get accomplished and feel bad about it. I think it is a mind shift. We have to practice it for sure!
I agree- as a wife, stay-at-home mom of twins (one with special needs), wedding photographer, blogger, etc. there never seems to be enough hours in the day! When I do get a free hour, I have a battle with myself about how to spend that time- housework, photography work, blog, or relax? It’s a never-ending struggle. Thanks for your insight!
Oh so true! I am a doer so it is hard to tell myself it is okay if I don’t get it all done! I have started writing the top 3 things that I want/need to get done for the day. Almost daily I am successful in completing those tasks. If I get more than that done then it is a plus, but I aim at that list only.
Books always take me to a new world.
Aleshea- I typically read books that I can learn from rather than story books. But I always get some take away with each book I read!
