Who doesn’t love a good love note?
I know I do; especially this time of year as love, chocolates and roses abound.
Finding a hand-written love note, folded and carefully hidden in the perfect place is a treasure in itself, not to mention the lovely sentiments the love note holds inside.
So, in honor of Valentine’s Day and because a love note can brighten anyone’s day, here are 5 places to hide a love note for your special someone!
1. Underneath their toothbrush.
Everyone brushes their teeth before leaving for work, school, working out, running errands etc, so underneath their toothbrush is the perfect place to begin your love note hiding mission. A piece of paper under their toothbrush will be sure to grab their attention and prompt them to take a closer look.
2. In their shoe.
Hiding a love note inside their shoe will be a surprise as they get ready to leave home. You can leave the note sticking out so they notice it before putting on their shoe, or tuck it a little further inside for an extra surprise. The note might be a little crinkled when it emerges from the shoe, but the message will be just as powerful.
3. In their lunchbox.
For this one, zip the love note up inside their lunch box, or fold it into their brown paper lunch bag. They will discover the little gem when they sit down to eat. Your words will stick in their mind as they finish their day!
4. In their briefcase, gym bag or purse.
Depending on your special someone’s routine, you might be slipping your love note inside a briefcase, tote bag, gym bag or purse. It doesn’t matter which; the result is a little boost for your love to find at some point during the day. No doubt when they need a boost the most.
5. On their pillow.
This is the perfect place to hide a love message to be read before bed. Tucking a love note near their pillow is the perfect way to ensure your love has a special end to their day.
It’s no secret that everyone loves a good love note. They take seconds to write, can be scribbled onto a sticky note, scrap of paper or even a paper towel with whatever writing tool you can find handy. Such a simple gesture can deliver major rewards in your relationship.
If you are someone who struggles with writing a love note, The Love Note Assistant can help. A love note template in notepad form, The Love Note Assistant makes writing love notes amazingly easy. Fill it out, tear it off, fold it up and go find the perfect hiding place.

Where are you going to hide your next love note?

Love this idea, I think the lunchbox would be the best place for my hubby 🙂
How sweet! This is something that doesn’t seem to be done much lately…handwritten notes/letters. A great tradition and way to surprise each other.
Pam- I liked the premade notes they have. I do write a letter to my husband every few weeks because his love language is words of affirmations. But I liked the short fill in the blank pad. Makes it easy to leave little notes around for him!
This is awesome!! Totally doing this!!
Such a great idea. So cute!

I love hiding love notes for Robert. I’ve always done them in his lunch bag. I really like the gym bag idea, though!
These are some great ideas! I need to get better at leaving love notes around. Thanks for the ideas!
I always put notes in my husbands lunch box! I also put some on the bathroom mirror at night on post it notes so he sees them in the morning!
Miranda- Good idea! I put notes in my husband’s lunch box too, but I haven’t left many notes in the bathroom for him. Thanks for the idea! Will be doing that this week 🙂
