3 Must Haves For Dry, Itchy Pregnancy Skin

Today, I get to share these must haves for dry, itchy pregnancy skin thanks to a partnership with The Woman Bloggers and PediSand. All opinions are my own.

I am going to be honest. I am not the type of lady that spends a lot of time on body products, cosmetics and pampering my skin on a normal basis. Now being 6 months pregnant and chasing a toddler around that continues to be the case. However, with both of my pregnancies I started getting dry skin that would DRIVE ME CRAZY! It doesn’t matter how much water I drink! Which forced me into finding some solutions that would work. Solutions that were easy, manageable and affordable.

Here are the top three must have’s for dry, itchy pregnancy skin:

1)Dandruff Shampoo- Soak and Float Bar from LUSH

Around 5 months of pregnancy I start getting flaky scalp. I deal with winter dandruff without pregnancy, but pregnancy dandruff can occur any time of the year for me. A good dandruff shampoo is a must. One of my favorite shampoos is the Soak and Float Shampoo Bar from LUSH. It is really unique because it is a round disk bar, much like soap. I didn’t know if I would care for that, but it worked fine for me. It seems to last forever. They also have round tins to store it in.

2)Lotion- Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks

My belly feels as if it is forever expanding these days! Which then makes it itchy all around. I like using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lotion For Stretch Marks. The thick formula is something to get use to, but I feel that it allows my skin to soak up the moisture for awhile throughout the day. Which really does alleviate that itch most of the day! I also am a fan that they have a pump style to have on my bathroom cabinet at home and a tube style to throw in my gym make up bag. Not only do I rub this on my belly, but also my hips, butt, thighs, and breasts. With Miss M I used this and did not get any stretch marks even though I gained 40 pounds! I would like to find something in the natural category, but my results last time made me go back to this product.

3)Foot Care- PediSand Hands Free Foot File

Ok. So I am a little ashamed to even tell you this… but I am going to be real here. My feet were getting so dry that I would wake up in the middle of the night not being able to satisfy the itch. It didn’t matter how much lotion I put on my feet. Then, one day I realized my dry heal skin tore the sheets! That is just ridiculous! I got a pedicure, but within two weeks I was back to square one. When I heard about the PediSand Hands Free Foot File I knew I wanted to give it a try.

The PediSand is great because it is hands free. I had bought some handheld foot cheese grater thing and it was hard to get to my feet at this point and it just left my skin looking horrible. The PediSand is easy to stabilize by sliding one foot into the pocket. The rounded edged made it easy to file every part of my foot. It took me a matter of minutes before I had smooth feet again! I highly recommend working on top of a towel because you are going to be amazed at how much loose skin will be on/around the PediSand.

With Soak and Float Shampoo Bar, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter For Stretch Marks and the PediSand Hands Free Foot File I am able to combat all that dry, itchy pregnancy skin so easily! I am so glad I discovered these products and know they will give you some relief too.
