Cute as a Button Baby Shower

This past Sunday we had a baby shower for all our friends and family. The theme was as cute as a button and let me tell you I thought it turned out so cute!

Cute as a button

I have to say Ryan, Baby, and I are so blessed to have such generous people in our lives! People to host the shower for us and people to bring us all these goodies that will help us care for our little girl! And to think we get even more love this weekend from our church family shower!

Today, I wanted to show some pictures toย you because really that is the best way for me to share the experience with you!

One of our lovely hostesses made this invitation for us!

Baby’s initials all covered in buttons.

Cute as a button cake. The button that is covered had her name on it.

watermelon baby

My aunt, another hostess, made this.

Plates made into buttons. The baby in the middle was inspired by this Pinterest project.

Everyone wrote a wish for baby. I took a picture of it, but also kept all the circles of notes.

I have been doing occasional pregnancy updates throughout, but I have made an image for every month.

They used these pictures with cute frames they made to display for everyone to see.

Our lovely hostesses! Gina, Brigitte and Aunt Debra. They really did a great job loving on us!

baby shower gift

Hostesses thank you gifts were shower goodies with a tag that said:

Thank you for making our shower so wonderful! We hope this can make your next shower wonderful too!

I thought I would spare you all the gift opening pictures and make a collage. We got lots of goodies!

Things like an outfit with bikes on it for her to wear to Ryan’s triathlons. A tiny swimsuit. A doll named Emily from my sister Emilee. Custom art work and a quilt! Along with other useful things like diaper bag, Boppy, bath stuff, etc.ย cute as a button baby shower

After presents we took pictures with different groups of family and friends. Just thought I would share a few.

This is Anita, Ryan’s mom and Vicki, my mom.

Here is Kristal from The Strong Familyย and Mia from Make Me Up Mia.

Never when I started blogging did I realize the real life friendships that could be made!

Ryan came by at the end of the shower to visit with some people and help load up the car. We were showering of our loot!

cute as a button thank you

Now that the shower is over I am writing a ton of thank you cards! I purchased the pink cards from Hobby Lobby when they were half off so I got like 96 of them for $11. Then I found the free printable (which can be made into a lot of different colors). And there you have all our thank you cards for way cheap!

We are so very blessed to have people in our lives that love us so much! They all have been great support and encouragement during this transitioning time in our lives.

We are getting so excited for our little girl to arrive in the next few weeks!

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie

Mia thank you so much for coming to celebrate with us! We first took a picture in front of the gifts, but you couldn’t really see them. So then we decided to show them off in that way. haha!

Oh my gosh, what a great theme idea! I have thousands of buttons at home and have run out of ideas to use them! I’m storing this one away in my memory bank! I love the initials. Are they going in her nursery?

Thank you Laura! The hostesses did a great job coming up with the theme. I told them to run with whatever they wanted. I am sure there are a lot of different fun crafts you could do with buttons. I have seen simple book marks out of paperclips and buttons. Search Pinterest and I am sure you will find a ton of ideas! Yes the initials are in her nursery now ๐Ÿ™‚
