2012 London Olympics- Day 2

On our second day we started by having breakfast at the hotel which was provided for us. It was pretty good stuff and it should be for the 30 pounds per person they charge for it! They had wonderful fresh fruit and yummy granola which had hazelnuts in it.

Right across from our hotel was Hyde Park which was where triathlon would take place. We headed over there and watched the whole race that morning. We had amazing seats at the finish line and sat with some higher up people in the triathlon world. We met the head of triathlon for the US, Spain and Canada and then saw a few other people that helped plan the Olympics/triathlon event.

It was an awesome event to watch! Two brothers took 1st and 3rd place. We got to see them get their medals as well!

We came back to the hotel after the event was over and we got a few treats from the family lounge. We then did our workouts for the day. Ryan did some running and I did some cycling. Luckily the gym at the hotel actually had the same treadmills and spin bikes as our gym has back at home.

Next, we headed back out to the Olympic Park where we watched some more events. We got to see two USA athletes take podium for 100 meter hurtles!

After track we headed back to the hotel and got there about 11pm. What an early night compared to the day before!

We ended up getting our first 2 pins this day also! Check out the banner at the top to see how you can get your own Olympic pin!
