I have been thinking lately how I need to figure out a way to go from workout wear to everyday wear in a matter of minutes. I’m still a new mom who is trying to figure out how to fit in workouts, errands and to-do’s all while actually spending quality time with Miss M.
On weeks that I have everything together I workout at home on Mondays and Wednesdays. Then, I run at the gym or in our neighborhood, depending on weather, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. And I currently take Fridays and Sundays off or just do some squats. However, each week I leave the gym to go directly to the grocery store. Or I squeeze in the workout right before needing to head out the door.
This left me little time to change and get ready. But I also don’t like just leaving and wear my workout clothes in public. If we are being honest, I prefer tight workout clothes. Which is fine to workout in. I mean it’s practical. I just don’t feel comfortable wearing that out to do errands. It finally clicked that I needed a few pieces that I could throw over or add to my workout clothes. That were not sweats, I might add!
That is when I reached out to Amy Ann from The Real Arnolds. Amy Ann is a local fashion blogger that I met at a blogger meet up. She has a gorgeous and unique sense of style that she pulls off wonderfully! Her outfits have been featured on several big named fashion sites too!
Now I must admit my fashion sense is rated quite low in general. But I knew if Amy Ann was willing to help I could pull something together that would allow me to go from workout wear to everyday wear in a matter of minutes. I sent some pictures to Amy of the most common workout outfit that I wear. She then created two style boards for me. Next, I was on the look out for some pieces that were similar to what she suggested.
It is such a relief to know that I can go from workout to out and about in a matter of minutes, yet I look put together! I need to get a few more pieces so that I have a few choices. I no longer have to put on my mommy sweats over my workout clothes!A big shout out to Amy Ann for helping inspire some action in this department! Honestly, I think I should just hire her to go through my closet and then be my personal shopper!
Make sure to go check out all of Amy Ann’s great fashion over at The Real Arnold’s!
