Need To Knows For Your First Mortgage

This is the time of year I start getting all reminiscent about my marriage. Ryan proposed over 4 years ago during Labor Day weekend while we were in Switzerland. We planned our wedding in 7 weeks so that we could have our running themed wedding on the same day that we met the year before. Then, we went through the whole buying our first home process in the next month. It was a whirl wind of excitement and learning!

Buying your first home and having your first mortgage can be a bit scary! Here are some things you need to know about it.

With the wedding it was pretty easy to make it happen. We got to create and do whatever we wanted because it was our wedding. But when it came to the house process that wasn’t necessarily the case. There are certain things you get to do and think about to be able to purchase a home. Luckily, for us we had a family friend as our realtor who helped walk us through everything. But I know not everyone has that luxury. And that is exactly why I want to share this helpful info graphic with you!

Your First Mortgage
One thing that has helped us greatly in our financials was the fact that we did have 20% for a down payment AND we purchases a home that was below what we were approved for. We knew what we wanted our monthly payments to be and how much room we wanted and stuck to it. That for sure has been the best thing for us in regards to purchasing our home!

What is a tip you have heard about your first home?

Until Next Time- Truly Love,

Cassie
